    Corps of Cadets: Aggie Eagle Program (AEP)

    What is AEP?

    There are many similarities in scouting and the values of the Corps of Cadets.  The Aggie Eagle Program (AEP) offers high school juniors and seniors and transfer students who are Eagle ScoutsTrail Life USA Freedom AwardGirl Scout Gold AwardCamp Fire Wohelo Award, or American Heritage Girls Stars and Stripes Award recipients a first-hand experience with the Corps of Cadets. Traditionally, the Corps has over 300 members who hold these awards. AEP recognizes the same traits that motivate a high school student to join these organizations also encourage them, as collegians, to join the Corps. While at AEP, students will:

    • Meet current cadets and learn about their experiences in the Corps
    • Stay in the Corps dorms on campus
    • Meet Scouts in the Corps and from other high schools
    • Learn about the university admissions process, financial aid, scholarships, and academic support
    • Attend an A&M sporting event – football in the fall (subject to scheduling and ticket availability) or Aggieland Saturday in the spring.
    • Additional Corps scholarship consideration is given for participants
    • Attend the commandant's motivational presentation
