AEP Program

COVID:  Students will be in close contact with cadets during the visit.  Students will stay overnight in a dorm room with 2 cadets where social distancing is not possible.  The wearing of masks is encouraged but not required. 

There are many similarities in scouting and the values of the Corps of Cadets.  AEP offers high school juniors and seniors and who are Eagle Scouts, Trail Life USA Freedom Award, Girl Scout Gold Award, Camp Fire Wohelo Award, or American Heritage Girls Stars and Stripes Award recipients a first-hand experience with the Corps of Cadets. Traditionally, the Corps has over 300 members who hold these awards. AEP recognizes the same traits that motivate a high school student to join these organizations also encourage them, as collegians, to join the Corps. While at AEP, students will:

• Meet current cadets and learn about their experiences in the Corps
• Stay in the Corps dorms on campus
• Meet other Scouts in the Corps and from other high schools
• Learn about the university admissions process, financial aid, scholarships and academic support
• Attend the Commandant's  motivational presentation
• Receive a AEP T-Shirt and Patch 
• Attend the Aggie Men's Basketball Game
