Spend the Night with the Corps

Academic Requirements:

The Spend the Night with the Corps program is for qualified high school seniors and juniors and transfer students. We're sorry, only qualified individuals may participate in our program. The requirements for SNWC are:

High school seniors registering for Spend the Night with the Corps must meet one of the following criteria:

Be in the Top 10% of their class
Top 25% class and either a minimum 1050 PSAT/SAT (combination of math/critical reading sections only) or 23 ACT
Top 50% class and either a minimum 1150 PSAT/SAT (combination of math/critical reading sections only) or 25 ACT

High school seniors are required to have started an application for admission to Texas A&M before they attend SNWC in the spring semester. APPLY HERE

High school juniors may attend if they are in the top half of their class, are on a college track, and are maintaining an A- or above GPA.

These are program minimums. These scores do not guarantee admission to TAMU. Space is limited. Those wishing to participate in the program should apply early.

The Fightin' Texas Aggie Band Outfits Description:

The Aggie Band is the largest military marching band in the world and performs its complex straight-line marching maneuvers exclusively to traditional marches. The Aggie Band's dignified footsteps, echoing brass, and thunderous cadence have served as the Pulse of Aggieland since its inception in 1894.

Incoming freshmen must audition for the Aggie Band during the Spring Semester of their senior year in high school. Once selected for the band, the Aggie Band director will assign you to one of the Aggie Band outfits.

Company A-1
Originally formed in 1876 as A Company, Animal A is an outstanding outfit that strives to see its cadets grow their academic proficiency, physical fitness, work ethic, and character. Our highest aim is to uphold the tradition of excellence and honor that generations of men and women have modeled before us. Our involvement across the university gives an advantage to our cadets whether they choose to go into the public or private sector after they leave A&M.

Company A-2
Company A-2 is a Pre-Professional outfit composed of students striving to attend medical, nursing, veterinary, law, architecture, and other professional programs. We understand employers and graduate programs are looking for distinguished, well-rounded graduates, so we provide our cadets with the resources and opportunities necessary to build an exceptional resume. The pre-professional status of A-2 provides a unique environment of peer mentorship and academic support from cadets having similar degrees and career aspirations. We encourage our cadets to get involved in professional organizations and participate in community service projects each semester. Many of our cadets are involved in the Ross Volunteers, O.R. Simpson Honor Society, Parsons Mounted Cavalry, and both University Club and Corps Athletic Teams. We focus on career readiness by holding multiple classes each month on topics such as finances, interview skills, and resume writing. Additionally, we challenge our cadets physically to develop their fitness and discipline.

Company B-1
Battlin' B-1 is one of the oldest Army outfits in the Corps of Cadets. B-1 holds its cadets to a high academic standard, keeping "success in academics" as its primary goal. B-1 also succeeds in intramurals, and its cadets also participate in several Corps special units, like Rudder's Rangers and O. R. Simpson Honor Society. Cadets learn and practice the leadership skills that will help them to achieve success after they graduate from Texas A&M and enter into either the public or private workforce.

Company B-2
The Patriots offer the best training environment for personal development as a highly skilled leader in the Corps of Cadets and a strong emphasis on military service, along with involvement in Army ROTC, Rudder’s Rangers, and the Ross Volunteer Company. B-2 can provide significant knowledge and experience to help you excel while at A&M and later in the military, public, or private sector. We are looking for cadets who are highly interested in military service and show great enthusiasm towards becoming a leader of tomorrow.

Company C-1
The Cobras are an outfit comprised primarily of cadets in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, C-1 is a family-style outfit boasting leadership in the Ross Volunteers, Parsons Mounted Cavalry, and many other student organizations. If you are looking for a challenging environment providing leadership and professional development – as well as immersion into the Agriculture Industry – then C-1 is the place for you.

Company D-1
D-1 prides itself in high quality traits held within all D1 cadets. These are to include, but are not limited to, academic excellence, professionalism, career readiness in both the private and public sectors, and high leadership roles within the Corps and in all Special Units like Rudder’s and Ranger Challenge. In D-1, you will be challenged in a way that will prepare you for anything your future presents. By joining D1, you are joining a family and a support system that will last a lifetime.

Company D-2
Dog Company has long established itself as one of the most outstanding outfits in the Corps. By maintaining a high standard of academic excellence and commitment to character, our cadets have always been successful leaders in the Corps and the University in organizations like the Ross Volunteers, Rudder's Rangers, and Parsons Mounted Cavalry, as well as a long history of Yell Leaders, Student Government members, and Fish Camp Counselors. Company D-2 has received countless awards in the past, including the Corps most outstanding unit.

Company E-1
Company E-1, also known as the Athletic Company, has been breeding well educated leaders of character since 1975. A Jock is an individual of the highest moral character who strives for the utmost excellence in academics, military proficiency, physical fitness, university involvement, community service, and athletics. We take the competitive nature and determined drive and focus so commonly found on the playing field and channel that into manifesting a challenging and demanding environment for personal growth and development. Housing a variety of majors that include, but are not limited to STEM, business, liberal arts, and agriculture you will find a multiplicity of resources to encourage, aid, and assist your academic success and ensure that you are the best student that you can be. As well as that, our leadership successes can be seen University wide with extensive involvement in corps and Army special units such as the Ross Volunteers, Parsons Mounted Cavalry, Rudders Rangers, Ranger Challenge, Corps Marksmanship Unit, Yell Leaders, and Corps Athletic Teams; not to mention a multitude of non-corps social, leadership, and service organizations. Alongside all of that, we also strive to foster a sense of family and community through our competitive involvement in intramural athletics competing against other outfits in the Corps. If you are a highly motivated individual looking to challenge yourself physically, mentally, and develop yourself as a successful leader of character then Company E-1 is the place for you.

Company F-2
Established in 1959, Company F-2 is proud of its rich history and heritage in the Corps of Cadets. Today, we keep our age-old tradition of excellence going. This past year,we placed more times for the prestigious Corps-wide unit awards than any other outfit in the Corps. Company F-2 challenges its members to achieve academic excellence in any major field of study and superior physical fitness. Company I-1
Red Eye One is one of the oldest units in the Corps for a reason. Our mission is threefold:

Giving our cadets the necessary tools to excel in the classroom
Developing Army officers and professionals ready to lead on the battlefield or in the workplace
Creating a lifelong family through shared triumph and adversity

As an outfit with a proud and unique heritage, our standards are high. While a member in Red Eye One, you will be tested physically, mentally, and morally, EVERY SINGLE DAY. That is why we seek those who never settle. Those driven to push their limits, every day. Those who truly embrace the motto, “Never Say Die.”

Company K-1 (TRANSFER)
Company K-1 is an outfit for those who are transferring from another school or who have already been students at A&M, but not members of the Corps of Cadets. It specializes in compressing the Corps’ four-year leadership program so that students who will graduate in fewer than four years can participate in the complete Corps experience. K-1 prepares students for the difficult transition into the academic rigors of the Texas A&M University curriculum and for participation in active leadership roles throughout the student body.

Company L-1
Known as the Lonestar Company, we strive to build the next generation of Officers and gentleman. We will mold every man into a leader who embodies integrity and discipline at all times. Company L-1 consistently ranks as one of the most successful outfits in both GPA and in physical fitness scores, we also maintain, and encourage, a large involvement in activities beyond the Corps. As a Company, our emphasis is placed on coaching and developing individual effort, personal accountability, mental fortitude, and leadership, in order to prepare each cadet for the challenges in the Military and Private Sector.

Squadron 1
"Follow Me." These words are proudly demonstrated by the Air Force's 393rd Bomb Squadron, the first nuclear capable squadron and modern day tip of the spear. Like them, in Squadron One we fearlessly lead the way among our peers, following on the path paved for us by our brothers and sisters who have soared through the wild blue yonder. Squadron One's goal is to produce high quality Air Force officers and corporate leaders through a rigorous combination of academic emphasis, discipline, and physical training, coupled with the opportunity for growth through shared adversity. Should you choose to accept our challenge and strive to live by our standards, you too will truly be "Second to None".

Squadron 2
Founded in 1960, Gator 2 is the oldest Air Force outfit and one of the oldest outfits in the Corps. Thanks to our heritage we have a culture that is strongly rooted in tradition, athletics and the value of family. Each year we work hard to win championships in the four intramural sports played by the corps – football, softball, basketball and soccer. When it comes to athletics, there are few outfits as committed to or as successful at training and winning championships as us. We also remain wholly committed to challenging ourselves daily in the form of physical fitness, through running, and calisthenics. We are consistently ranked near the top of the corps in the yearly fitness competitions that all outfits compete in. Most importantly, we have created a culture filled with traditions and a strong emphasis on family. Over the years, we’ve come to understand that our time in the Corps is limited, and the relationships we build are ones that will last a lifetime. Regardless of whether you pursue a career in the military or the private sector upon graduating, the shared times, challenges, and experiences had while in Gator 2 will leave you with the group you can call family for years to come.

Squadron 3
In Thunderbird 3, our motto is “Only The Best”. Named after the elite Air Force air demonstration squadron, The Thunderbirds, our goal is to achieve exactly what The Thunderbirds represent: Excellence In All We Do. Our mission is to produce the highest caliber leaders of character for The United States Military and Corporate America. With our primary focus being academic excellence, positive and professional development, and mental and physical discipline, we aim to be the most well rounded unit in the Corps of Cadets. Our family atmosphere provides students with a challenging, yet rewarding college experience that is guaranteed to better prepare them for whatever leadership challenges they may face.

Squadron 5
Filthy Fifth’s atmosphere is one based on family, military tradition, physical fitness, and academics. The Fifth produces well-rounded leaders prepared to either join the military or the business world. With over 49 years of history before being reactivated in Fall 2016, the Filthy Fighters embrace their rich history and develop relations with their vast alumni base which includes General Wilson ’81 (current Vice Chief of Staff of the Air Force), Lt. Col. Dan “Two Dogs” Hampton ’86 (the most decorated F-16 pilot), and the late Rusty Thompson ’85 (previous Director of Student Activities at Texas A&M).

Squadron 6
Squadron 6 is dedicated to the development of well-rounded leaders equipped with the necessary skills to excel in the military and private sector. We take pride in our exceptional commitment to academics, physical development, and public service. On top of being involved in the outfit, networking off the quad is highly encouraged to allow cadets to have the full university experience. Our outfit is known for its ability to gather men and women from diverse backgrounds under a common vision. Our notable alumni include Chancellor John Sharp and former Governor Rick Perry.
Squadron 6 is unique as it traces its origins back to the Flying Tiger Unit that fought in China during World War II. From then till now, we are known for our camaraderie, courage, and selfless service. Savages are held to a higher standard with the intent of chasing the legacy left by those before us, and leaving legacy worthy for the generations that follow.

Squadron 8
Outlaw 8 rigorously trains cadets through high intensity training, combatives, and military fluency, to produce the highest quality leaders. Our cadets are taught to think for themselves, Academics come first, while always being able to help other people. We have a history of commissioning a high number of Air Force Officers, while also having two Alumni on the AFROTC staff at Texas A&M. Making you Famous comes with the price of hard work and a will to continue on no matter what. Give us your all, and we will do the same.

Squadron 11
Heaven's 11 is an outfit for highly motivated Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) majors. We assist with a cadet's academic excellence by surrounding them with individuals who have or are taking the same courses. This allows upperclassmen and peers to mentor each other in their studies. We also connect cadets with leading companies and professionals in their field of study and assist them in preparing for life after college. Our cadets recognize their superiors, peers, and subordinates and maintain professional relationships based off of mutual respect. We work to make each other successful and have a tight family-like culture. We also have a demanding training regiment, based on competition that pushes us physically and mentally. Heaven's 11 gives a well-rounded leadership experience that develops cadets into successful leaders of character.

Squadron 12
SQUADRON 12 TALONS – HONOR, EXCELLENCE, MIGHT. Established in 1956, Squadron 12 boasts over 60 years of rich history and heritage in the Corps of Cadets. Throughout the years, our mission has remained the same – a fierce devotion to forging leaders of character prepared for the global leadership challenges of the future. Following a proud lineage of military officers, business executives, and Corps Commanders, our cadets and alumni are well equipped to achieve success in whatever leadership role they take on. We take pride in an emphasis on academic achievement, military proficiency, and career readiness by fostering an atmosphere of scholastic support, rigorous training, and a connection to a strong alumni network. Most importantly, Squadron 12 is unique in that it provides individual cadet development through an environment that prioritizes mentorship and camaraderie. By joining Squadron 12, you are not only committing to a family but to a lifetime of honor and excellence.

Squadron 16
As members of Squadron 16 Falcons, we are committed to molding and shaping ourselves to be the best leaders this university has to offer. Through a challenging environment geared towards academic success, physical fitness, and military professionalism, we work to become dedicated leaders, always ready to serve our community.
Our training is centered around preparing young leaders to handle adversity and overcome any obstacle they face. By focusing on relationships of mutual respect between one another, we ensure that upperclassmen are always willing to mentor those under them and assist them in their academic pursuits.
Our overwhelming success can be measured in the number of Air Force officers and on campus leaders- ranging from Ross Volunteers, Corps Commanders, and Major Unit Commanders, to Student Senators- that we have produced since the outfit wasfounded in 1982.

Squadron 17
Challenger 17 is an outfit of highly motivated campus leaders dedicated to academic success, military professionalism, and athletic achievement. Our outfit maintains high academic and athletic standards. Our leadership can be seen through its involvement in the Corps and the University in organizations such as the Ross Volunteers, Yell Leaders, Student Senate, and other prominent organizations on the campus.

Squadron 20
Titan 20 exists to develop well-rounded, physically fit, and highly educated leaders of exceptional moral character and confidence prepared to take on any challenge presented them in the military or civilian sector. We will ensure all cadets have the resources and opportunities to build an outstanding resume and the academic support to achieve the GPA required to be accepted into and succeed in medical school, dental school, veterinary school, or any other professional graduate program.

Squadron 21
Hellcat 21 is an outfit for those who are highly motivated to expand their potential academically, physically, and mentally. Hellcats strive to ensure all cadets in both technical and non-technical fields are academically successful through peer mentorship from upperclassmen experienced in the field. Squadron 21 produces military and physical proficiency through a rigorous training environment that pushes the limits of all cadets. In all things Hellcats are a family that work together for the combined success and leadership development of the cadets and outfit as a whole.

Squadron 23 (TRANSFER)
The Nighthawks are specifically tailored to develop leaders regardless of gender or field of study. We have cadets involved in a wide array of ROTC special units and place our emphasis on academic success. We teach our cadets to take on challenges, overcome, and exceed the standards in all that they do.

Company C-2
Company C-2’s mission is to develop humble, academically successful, and physically fit leaders who, without compromise, value commitment, family, servant leadership, and others. They will be prepared to overcome the intellectual, physical and ethical challenges posed by post-graduate life, whether military or professional. Our focus on professional and leadership development with military training and annual leadership conference ensures that our cadets are prepared for life in a competitive environment. In addition to this, our motto, “Our strength is our family” embodies the values-based focus we place on family and unity.

Company E-2
An outfit that prides itself on its professionalism, academic excellence, campus wide involvement, and challenging environment. Holding the distinction of being the Mascot Company, E-2 has the privilege and responsibility of being the caretakers of the beloved Aggie mascot, Reveille IX. Incoming cadets will be greatly challenged and are expected to develop into outstanding servant leaders across campus.

Company F-1
An outfit steeped in history and tradition, Company F-1 created the Corps Brass that every cadet since 1960 has earned and worn and boasts an impressive record of military service both in days past and today.
Company F-1 is open to all majors, and has a concentrated focus on getting our cadets involved in study abroad and internship programs regardless of major. We pride ourselves on the ability to balance a high level of academics with physical prowess, as we seek to foster a warrior mentality that drives our cadets to success.
Company F-1’s mission is to mold morally sound, physically and mentally disciplined, and internationally involved leaders out of our cadets in order to serve the greater good.
Prospective cadets who wish to take advantage of travel opportunities offered by the Corps and experience an outfit pride like no other should join Company F-1.

Company G-1
Company G-1 exists to build a bright future for our cadets by instilling within them physical strength, mental toughness, and character through a regimen of intense physical training and a culture of mentorship and personal development. Rogues lead the way in leadership development and are highly proficient in all aspects of military discipline and character. If you would like to learn how to MENTOR those under you, INSPIRE those around you, and GROW to those above you, then Company G-1 is the right outfit for you!

Company G-2
G-2 puts forth maximum effort towards preparing its cadets for their time in the classroom at Texas A&M and their careers beyond it. This is done not only by creating a culture conducive to academic success, but also by connecting cadets in similar fields of study, seeking to involve our cadets in university activities, and assisting them in areas such as resume building. At the same time, we push our cadets physically in order to build discipline, fitness, and strength of will…characteristics exemplified by the Roman Gladiators. This is done through the implementation of a focused training plan and the incorporation of challenging military training, such as conducting ruck marches and running the obstacle course.

Company H-1
The Rough Riders are dedicated to molding the well-rounded leader of today’s military and civilian society, hence our motto: “Ace of Spades, Jack of All Trades.” We take pride in all aspects of leadership development, but especially our two strengths: high physical fitness standards and academic success. The Rough Riders are looking for highly motivated and truly dedicated men that are ready to humbly take on a challenge bigger than themselves.

Company K-2
In Killer K-2 our goal is to uphold our motto “Best in every way.” Our cadets take great pride in holding themselves to high standards in terms of grades and physical fitness. We have always excelled at the Obstacle Course Challenge, the GRIT Challenge, the DFW Marine Corps Mud Run and many other competitions.

Company N-1
In Company N-1, we produce well-disciplined cadet leaders who are ready to take on the challenges of a changing world. With a heavy emphasis on academics, drill, cadet involvement, and physical fitness, the Knights train to become well rounded leaders with the highest standards of character. The members of your class will become almost brothers and sisters, and with the help of your classmates and upperclassmen, they will be prepared to become future leaders in the public and/or private sector. We are as we say, the "first in sight, ready to fight”, and we seek cadets who are ready to adapt and overcome the challenges they will face.

Company P-2
With the motto “Land-Air-Sea,” Company P-2 is devoted to preparing for all aspects of our cadet’s futures, from developing skilled and dedicated officers for military service to professional and well-prepared adults for careers in the private and public sectors. Historically, Company P-2 has produced many military officers of character. As such, the standards are high- academically, physically and mentally.

Company S-1
The Spartan mission is to develop the warrior within all of our cadets. From a life of rigor and discipline, comes forth a Spartan that excels academically, physically, and mentally. We take pride in being a true family, committed to each other’s success both inside and outside the classroom and are dedicated to taking care of one another. Our motto “With It Or Upon It” is the Spartan way of saying “Death Before Dishonor” and reminds us that we have a duty to uphold the reputation of our unit, the Corps, our University and our Nation.

Company S-2
An outfit with a well-defined emphasis on academic excellence and physical fitness. We pride ourselves on our successes in Athletics and Drill as well as the professional and character development of our cadets. In S-2, we encourage our cadets to participate in organizations across campus in order to better connect with the Aggie Network and enhance their undergraduate success for life after Texas A&M

Squadron 4
In Squadron 4, you will be tested to your limits day in and day out. We are men and women of conviction, and our conviction commands respect across the quad in everything that we do.
Our mission is to develop our cadets to be steadfast leaders of character. Our core belief is that this is achieved through a Focus on academics and a rigorous physical training environment. Over 50% of our cadets are currently contracted with the Navy or Marine Corps and we are continuously ranked at the top of the corps in academics. We are looking for men and women that will wake up everyday expecting to be held to the highest standard of military discipline, physical fitness, and academic success. It truly does not get any better than this.

Squadron 18 (TRANSFER)
The Phantoms are an outfit organized to transition current college students into the Corps. Transfer students and current A&M students can join the Corps and SQ 18, undergo the “fish” experience for one semester, and then move up to the class commensurate with their academic standing.
